About Kevin

Kevin Stewart-Panko has been writing about music longer than he's been listening to music. Ok, maybe not, but he's been at it a long while and it's definitely easier to list off the publications he hasn't contributed to during 40 years spent hunched over typewriters, keyboards, laptops, and iPads. His career has encompassed everything from black-and-white cut-and-paste fanzines and full colour glossy magazines to the 1s and 0s of the internet and paperback and hardcover books. He presently writes for Decibel, Metal Hammer, Outburn, The Wire, Metalegion and Africa Rocks. His latest book is Into Everlasting Fire: The Official Story of Immolation and he's constantly working on a variety of projects including reissue liner notes, band bios/one-sheets and festival programs. He's currently freezing his ass off somewhere in Canada surrounded by his record collection, groaning bookshelves, stacks of magazines, family members and pets.
